Dubizzle Answers Your Questions On The UAE Property Law

Dubizzle, the Dubai-based classifieds website, has launched knowyourrights.dubizzle.com today. This is educational dubizzleinitiative launched to raise awareness of UAE Property Law.

The initiative focuses on creating a more transparent environment where buyers, tenants, landlords or sellers are aware of their rights and can safeguard themselves from being subject to unfair situations.

The initiative was born after dubizzle recognized a crucial need to drive legal transparency in the property market, and chose to partner with MIO law firm, one of the leading law firms in the UAE to provide legal guidance and consultancy to the UAE residents. RERA (The Real Estate Regulatory Agency) acknowledged dubizzle's efforts, which aligns side-by-side with their cause, hence the 'Know Your Rights' initiative has been unveiled today.

On this occasion, Barry Judge, GM of the UAE market at dubizzle stated: "dubizzle was founded to drive transparency in regards to consumer-to-consumer trade and disrupt consumer exploitation. With that in mind, at dubizzle we strongly believe that we can serve as an amplifier to empower people to make better-informed decisions. How can we do that? dubizzle's property section is accessed by over 1 million people and receives over 2 million visits a month for properties for rent and sale. These numbers reflect the reach dubizzle has, to communicate valuable information to their loyal fan base."

RERA CEO Eng. Marwan Bin Ghulaita said: "The Land Department, through its regulatory body RERA, is always supporting awareness campaigns in an aim to uphold the Dubai Land Department objectives of protecting the interests of real estate investors. I'm happy to see such initiative from the private sector as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to society. RERA always asks investors to do their homework to make knowledgeable real estate decisions by visiting the Land Department website www.Dubailand.gov.ae and staying updated with all Dubai real estate information."
