Google Street View cars have been spotted collecting data around Dubai. Google Street View is a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides panoramic views from positions along many streets in the world. It was launched on May 25, 2007, in several cities in the United States, and has since expanded to include cities and rural areas worldwide.
Dubai will soon become the first Arab city to be part of the Street View service, which offers 360 degree panoramic shots allowing an internet user to take a complete online tour of a city or country.
In June 2013 Google announced the launch of 360-degree street view imagery for the iconic Burj Khalifa. The below car was spotted in Deira.
