Travall the video review app offers users an interactive visual experience for choosing how and where to visit in Dubai and in February 2015 travall will launch for Abu Dhabi. Whether you are a tourist, new to Dubai, or a UAE resident, the app is valuable to all. Users, or ‘travallers’, as they can check accommodation, dining, venues, clubs, activities, malls, exhibitions, sports, clinics and entertainment by watching a 30 or 60-second video.
Adam Ridgway, CEO, travall, commented, “The UAE had more than 16 million active mobile subscribers at the end of 2013, a penetration rate of nearly 193 per cent. With internet penetration and smartphone ownership consistently increasing in the region, we knew travall would be a great app for ‘travallers’ in the UAE.”
“This year we are taking the brand international to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, India, Mexico, South Africa and the USA. Clients on board in Dubai and Abu Dhabi so far include Burj Al Arab, Sofitel, Cle, Saadiyat Beach Club, St Regis the Residences, and Etihad Towers Residences.”
The app also provides an interactive option in that users can also film their own 15-second Video Review, for others to watch – a first of its kind in the UAE. Other key features include building an itinerary for your trip, making reservations, sharing details on social media, rating and reviewing an outlet, redeeming free vouchers and taking advantage of last minute promotions. In addition, the most engaged ‘travallers’ will earn points towards prizes and rewards, totaling $100,000 at the moment.
Research from the 2014 Arabian Travel Market revealed 50% of travellers surveyed in the GCC use mobile devices to make key travel decisions. Following on from its successful launch of the new mobile app, travall, late last year, the owners would certainly agree.
