On the first day of the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, the World Summit Awards and MobileMonday signed a MoU to further promote grassroots mobile innovation on a global level.
MobileMonday (MoMo) is an open community platform of mobile industry visionaries, developers and influential individuals. The community meets regularly to foster cooperation and cross-border opportunities via demos and events in 150+ cities around the world.

“MoMo has been a great platform for connecting local mobile developers. WSA gives MoMo a chance to promote local innovations at the global level,” said Jari Tammisto, CEO and President of Mobile Monday Oy.
“WSA has always been a blend of multiple stakeholders, and the mobile movement is driven in unique ways by a new wave of mobile content creators,” observed Peter A. Bruck, Chairman of the WSA Board of Directors. The MoMo partnership will bring new voices into the global mobile ecosystem.
Under the agreement, MoMo will promote the WSA awards and connect WSA´s global network to MoMo´s chapters. Each chapter will contribute to the nomination process and will cooperate with the expert’s network of WSA. WSA will include MoMo members in its jury, and organise workshops on mobile innovation along with MoMo.
