Wally is an app designed to track your spends. But Dubai and Beirut based developers have a plan to make this process not only easy but possibly fun along with providing you information about your spendings that you were probably not aware of either.
It is probably UAE’s answer to Mint.com – a popular app that helps you keep track of personal finance.
The app has a well designed UI. Upon launching the app it shows you your last few expenses and there is a large + sign which allows you to add a new expense.
To add expenses, you can either scan a receipt by clicking on the camera icon or you can manually enter details. The app has a geo-location feature that gives you the location of your expense if you decide to scan/enter the spend details at the time of your purchase. The app has a feature that allows you to select expenses for personal, vacation etc. as well as categorize it as groceries, food etc.
The app would show you graphs over a period of time on your spend habits as well as items that you have spend on like groceries, clothes etc. It can even show you the list of places you’ve transacted most.
Issues – Wally App may struggle at times to recognise receipts. The App developers are working on this feature.
The App has recently raised $400,000 in funding . “Securing our first round of funding is an important milestone for the company, and one which will allow us to scale and expand to meet the demands of our global users. This funding will go towards product development and engineering. Our key aim is to create the right product, bringing it closer to a complete personal financial solution, and achieve our next milestone of 1 million active users globally,” said Saeid Hejazi, CEO and cofounder, Wally.
The app is currently available on App Store.
