by InMobi. Smartphone penetration in the Middle East region is projected to grow up to 39% by 2015. Mobile transactions already represents 10% of e-commerce (similar to the rest of the world), according to a research by PayPal shows that with a 6 times growth in the next 4 years, m-commerce will represent close to 20% in the Middle East in 2015. This means that while purchasing via desktop/laptop remains dominant, there is a mobile mind-shift occurring with the rise of tablet and smartphone penetration. Smartphone Penetration By Country Users in Qatar have caught the smartphone bug. To give the benefit of doubt, Qatar has a significantly smaller population and that could be the reason why it top the below table.
