UAE Launches Website To Spread Culture Of Innovation

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior hosted a ceremony in his office at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) to announce the launch of the Ministry of Interior’s brand new Innovation Website. A first-of-its-kind in the Middle East, the website aims to spread the culture of innovation and encourage the participation of creative ideas.

HH Sheikh Saif urged the MoI’s staff members and customers to further endeavor to adopt creative and innovative ideas in a bid to upgrade the standards of police work and provide excellent services to the public. He also reiterated the higher leadership’s commitment to providing care and support for all innovative and distinguished individuals in the UAE.

The new website offers an online learning material on innovative thinking, which includes the appropriate tools that will help individuals think in a way that improves their creative thinking skills. It also provides an idea evaluation methodology that is consistent with international-best practices; and features the innovative ideas measurement program designed to assess the impact of the proposed ideas prior to implementation.

For his part, Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that the website includes a list of the creative ideas that obtained the Ministry of Interior’s Creativity and Innovation Awards, as well as a number of educational videos to motivate the website visitors to show innovation and creativity as part of police and security work.

The Secretary General urged the MoI’s staff members and customers to share their innovations by posting them on the website, and called upon them to boost the spirit of creativity, innovation and excellence. In conclusion, he noted that the website embodies the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and provides support to its strategic development plan.
