You can catch the New Year’s Eve countdown and fireworks display on the world’s tallest building. Emaar, the UAE-
based developer behind Burj Khalifa, is promoting something it has never done before — to let the world join in the NYE celebrations as Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa light up the sky. In a Youtube video commercial, “For One Night Only”, the developer said will be the first time the New Year’s Eve spectacle in Dubai will be live streamed — to be viewed live by anyone, anywhere with an internet connection.
According to local reports, the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building at nearly a half-mile high and an iconic symbol of the city, will be swathed in an LED screenas part of six-part firework, laser and light show that will set Downtown Dubai ablaze, creating a spectacle that will use the world’s most advanced pyrotechnics and LED-illumination technology. “Strobe-light effects,” “volcanic waves” and a “shower of stars” over downtown will complement the abounding fireworks, in a “never-before-seen” finale.
