How does is work?
It is a web interface and not a native client, and will work with Google Chrome browsers.
To connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client, simply open in your Google Chrome browser. You will see a QR code — scan the code inside of WhatsApp, and you’re ready to go. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone.
Some bad news for the iOS users as the desktop version is not available for them. The web version is avaialble for Blackberry, Android, Windows and Nokia.
Another catch is that the web chat will work as long as your phone is connected to the internet and doesn’t run out of battery.
