A Moroccan Hacker Discovers A Security Breach Bug In Facebook

Omar Azkagh, a 22 year old hacker from Tanja in Morocco, discovered a security bug in Facebook pages and gets FB Hackawarded for it.

The bug is a security breach related to pages on the social network which allows users to easily gain admin access to those pages and steal them from their owners.

Facebook investigated the matter and after verifying the matter and closing the gap, it awarded Omar a “bug bounty payout” for the amount of $4250.

Omar is now officially the 4th Moroccan hacker to be included in the list of “” members who help Facebook identify bugs in its site and solve them. Below is a screen shot of the email from Facebook to Omar.

That is definitely a great news for the Arab world which is showing the world everyday how tech savvy and capable are its youth. We still think that Facebook should reconsider the prizes amounts it pays out to hackers. What do you think?
